Kitabu "Matengo Folktales" Chatajwa Katika "Jeopardy."

Tarehe 23 Novemba, 2017, nitaikumbuka daima.

Nilikifahamu kipindi hiki kijuujuu. Mkuu wa idara yangu ya ki-Ingereza ameandika ujumbe kwetu waalimu na wanafunzi: Congratulations to Joseph Mbele for an honor that few of us will ever achieve--being mentioned in a clue on Jeopardy! See the image below, referencing Joseph's "Matengo Folktales" book....

Thank you, Merri, for your kind remarks. Honestly, despite the many years I have lived in the USA, I did not know how famous the Jeopardy show is, at least among Americans. Now, however, in the wake of my appearance on that show, I know, because of all the excitement I am witnessing. The news is widely disseminated, by word of mouth and online, such as on the Facebook pages of St. Olaf College and a consortium known as Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL). Still, I have no clue how information about me and my book reached the Jeopardy people.
